Lily Turned SIX!!!

We cannot believe that our little girl has lost two teeth, is learning to read, can ride a bike without training wheels, and is SIX years old! We had such a fun day on December 2, celebrating Lily's birth!

Opening presents from Mamie and D-Daddy!

Lily's favorite...steak!

PawPaw and Lily!

It's tradition that you cannot see your cake until it is time to blow out the candles and she was so excited!

Gramsie with the non-birthday kiddos! Trying to keep them out of the cake!

Keepin' Up With the Joneses

We are so blessed to have a wonderful family all the way around! Our family was so excited when Kayla and McKenzie came to see us in Comanche! They came to see us the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and we wore them out with FUN! When they came we went to the Ranch and rode 4-wheelers, went looking for arrowheads at the canyon, McKenzie caught frogs at the tank, and we had a great time playing with the cat tails at the tank too! Later that night they helped me cook dinner and carrot apple muffins for Thanksgiving. We also played some Phase 10 and just had a great time laughing and enjoying each other!

Our mode of transportation around the ranch!

The cows were quite mad at us because we shooed them away from the tank so that we could play!

The kids thought it was the neatest thing! Oh the simplicity of nature and the fun we can find!

Easton got Kayla with a cat tail and he laughed so hard!

Kendall kept the "Texas Snow" coming!

Lauren LOVES "Tenzie"

Church Clothes

The kids were so excited this past Sunday when we got up because they were going to get to wear their new "pretty" church clothes! The people in the neighborhood probably thought that we were crazy for taking their pictures but this was their first Sunday at our "home church" in Comanche and the first time to wear their new church clothes. Lauren was the funniest because after church she cried because she didn't want to take off her "priddy toes" (pretty clothes). Kendall convinced her to change and told her that she could wear her pretty shoes still! She was happy then!

The First High School Football Game

We took the kids to their first Texas High School football game this past Friday. Brownwood played Bridgeport in a Regional game. Brownwood is the town 23 miles from Comanche and we wanted to cheer them on! The night was cool and PERFECT football weather! I had to take the camera along to document this "first" for the kids! We even had popcorn from the concession stand!

The kids first glimpse at the field!

The girls loved the cheerleaders and Lily really liked the part where "the boy throws the ball a long way!"
Our friend, Amanda, was there for the festivities! It was a blast!

Brownwood warming up! Go Lions!
As we watched the game, I had so many memories of watching football games from the time I was a little girl through college. Kendall and I love football and the kids really loved the game too!!
